Friendly bake-off at Friday tea

At a recent departmental tea, a friendly bake-off was hosted for the first time, with students being invited to bring homemade treats to share with the department.

Three participants — Roy Ferguson (postdoc), Kayuri Chetty (MSc), and Ruba Osman (MSc) — treated everyone to a variety of baked goods, including freshly baked bread with watermelon preserve, fluffy cinnamon rolls, and a rich barfi. The homemade nature of the dishes added a personal touch, reflecting a bit of each baker’s identity.
