Wilson Ramuge
Wilson Ramuge is a PhD candidate in Information Systems at the University of Cape Town (UCT), specializing in Digital Infrastructure Ecosystems in developing economies. His research investigates how digital infrastructure actors influence the dynamics of these ecosystems, focusing on Mozambique for empirical observations. Using Actor-Network Theory (ANT) as a theoretical lens, the study seeks to unravel the socio-technical interactions within the ecosystem, examining how human and non-human actors interact, negotiate and shape outcomes, aiming to theorise the underlying mechanisms by which actors influence the development and expansion of digital infrastructures in developing economies.
Wilson Ramuge holds an Engineer’s Degree in Electronics and a Master of Science in Information Systems from Eduardo Mondlane University (Mozambique). He also earned a Postgraduate in Digital Finance (Certified Digital Finance Practitioner) through a joint program from Tufts University (USA) & Digital Frontiers Institute (South Africa).
