Osadi Mosweu is a PhD candidate at the University of Cape Town, specializing in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education. Her research focuses on ICT implementation in facilitating digital inclusion in South African rural schools, with a particular interest in how technology can bridge educational inequalities and expand learning opportunities for under-resourced communities. Using the Capability Approach and the Choice Framework as theoretical lenses, her research explores how rural educators and administrators navigate challenges such as infrastructure gaps, limited digital skills, and uneven policy support. The study also highlights the importance of collaborative efforts between schools, communities, and external partners in sustaining ICT initiatives. Her work aims to inform more responsive policies and practical models for digital inclusion in underserved educational contexts.
