Research Themes
Research pursued by CITANDA reflects the research interests of different staff members but is focused on the core aim of using IT for development, in a broad sense, within the African context. The underlying sociotechnical principles of the IS discipline reflect in our research which has IT elements as well as a social praxis. We study diverse IT from artificial intelligence to healthcare IT used in a variety of social practices, such as education, security and IS development, using multiple research strategies. Our research focus reflects our interdisciplinary research interest.
