The African Society is increasingly becoming networked with information technology (IT); and this is producing patterns and dynamics in technology, innovation, modernization and development. The African Networked Society (ANS) speaks of IT networks intermeshing with the African society of individuals, organizations and nations. The ANS is generating tensions between local, national and transnational flows of people, information and policies. It represents a new platform that enables researchers and practitioners to take new perspectives to pertinent technological, organizational, and developmental issues in Africa
