The University of Cape Town School of Information Technology, comprising the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Information Systems, held the 2025 Showcase on Thursday, 30 October 2025, in the Sarah Baartman Hall on the Upper Campus at UCT.
The event showcased the cutting-edge research and software development projects of our third-year BCom and BSc finalists, as well as Honours, Masters, and PhD students. Live demonstrations across a wide spectrum of themes—ranging from Artificial Intelligence, Computer Games, and Computer Graphics to Digital Libraries, Human-Computer Interaction, Cybersecurity, and Information Systems—highlighted not only the technology itself but also its profound impact on society.
This was an extraordinary opportunity to explore student innovations and engage directly with the next generation of researchers and developers.
