Each year the School of Information Technology (SIT) at the University of Cape Town hosts the IT Showcase to share the exciting systems development projects of our third year and postgraduate students.
This year the Showcase will take place on Thursday, 29 October 2026 between 18h00 – 20h00 at the Sarah Baartman Hall and Molly Blackburn Foyer, Upper Campus, University of Cape Town, Rondebosch.
The projects that will be exhibited at this year’s Showcase will cover a diverse range of topics from Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Games, Computer Graphics, Digital Libraries, Human-Computer Interaction, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, and their impacts on society, and many more.
The event offers industry partners, alumni, employers, and other stakeholders a unique opportunity to engage directly with students, explore cutting-edge technology solutions, and celebrate the creativity, innovation, and impact of the next generation of IT professionals.
