UCT wins University Cup 2024

A UCT team have won this year's Entelect's University Cup for a second time.
The Entelect Challenge University Cup is a one-day hackathon where teams of students from various universities around the country are challenged to solve a coding problem. This unique initiative, aimed specifically for students, provides future technology leaders a chance to flex their brain muscles and participate in something fun and rewarding.
UCT's team consisted of Luke Davis, David Carter-Brown and Cade Sayner, taking home a Nintendo Switch for each team member. They won for the first time in 2022.
Their motivation to enter the competition was driven by a desire to apply their shared mathematical and computational skills in a competitive settings, and to brush up on their problem-solving abilities. "The competition seemed like an excellent opportunity to collaborate with fellow students and to test our skills and knowledge," said Luke.
