The School of IT has access to a wide variety of facilities, including:
- Senior Undergraduate Laboratory has 81 workstations, running dual boot Windows and Linux
- Honours Laboratory in the Computer Science Dept has 18 workstations, running dual boot Windows and Linux, a printing facility, lockers, an open plan lounge on the mezzanine floor and a fully kitted kitchenette.
- Information Systems has a separate Honours Lab with workstations and lounge area.
- ICT4D Postgraduate Laboratory has 28 seats, predominantly notebook computer use, with a boardroom and fully kitted kitchen.
- Room 300 Postgraduate Laboratory has 34 seats, and is an even mix of notebook computer and workstation space use, includes a boardroom, offices, and a kitchenette.
- SciLab undergraduate Laboratory has 88 seats for shared use by the Science Faculty.
- A Think Tank area in the IS Dept offers an open design space.
- The Ubunifu Lab is a bookable space set up to encourage students to be exploratory and creative. The lab is equipped with VR tools, 3D printer, a drone, Amazon Alexa and Legos with writable walls and a lounge space.
- The IS Dept also has additional work and development space in the BSG Imagine and the SAP Next Gen labs.
